Biography

Dr. Mohammadimasoudi received his PhD from Ghent University, Belgium, followed by post-doctoral work there and at Sharif University of Technology, where he was also a visiting faculty member. His doctoral research on electro-optic devices using nanoparticles and liquid crystals produced thin-film optical filters, polarisers, linearly polarised emitters, high-speed optical switches and thin-film lasers, and earned him the EuroDisplay 2015 award for linearly emitting thin films.

He has more than 30 publications and two international patents. His Nanobiophotonics Laboratory develops high-precision biosensors and devices, including smell-recovery therapy after COVID-19, early Alzheimer's detection, toxic-gas detection, rapid test kits, optical components, smart glasses and smart clothing.
